Background Context / Details
This used to be known as the Digital Toolkit Office Hours, but is now known as the Digital Toolkit Meetup.
New name, same content.
Who is hosting the meetup?
The Jack Henry Digital Developer Relations team.
What is the meetup?
From the Jack Henry Events page:
Get answers to your technical Digital Toolkit questions during this monthly meeting with our Developer Relations team.
The focus is on:
- What is currently possible
- Talk about what and how folks can build with the Toolkit
- Avoid speculation on future improvements
What is this not?
- Not a Sales pitch
- Not a Roadmap discussion
Where does the meetup take place?
Virtually / online via Zoom webinar.
When is the meetup?
From the Jack Henry Events page:
Second Tuesday of every month
11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. CT
How do folks attend the meetup?
Third party developers can register on the Jack Henry Events page.
Why do we host the meetup?
We strive to make things as self-service as possible for 3rd party developers who read the docs on JackHenry.Dev.
However, we know that it’s not always possible for folks to understand some of the implications of the docs.
We also know that we are not staffed to handle many synchronous meetings given the vast number of financial institutions and fintechs that exist in the market. We try to steer folks towards asynchronous communications if the docs are insufficient.
The Digital Toolkit Meetup is intended to provide a time-boxed method for synchronous communication. Sometimes higher fidelity communication is a an unavoidable necessity. Hosting monthly office hours helps reduce the pressure on the team while still providing a better experience for 3rd party developers.
