Jack Henry 2023 Hackathon

The Project Gnosis hackathon team was a team comprised of Developer Relations employees which participated in the Jack Henry 2023 Hackathon: https://jackhenry.sharepoint.com/sites/Knowledge-Drop/SitePages/Hackathon.aspx

  • Team Gnosis - Team Members: Sam Couch, Mike Gaines, Jim Honeycutt, Jaime Lopez, Garrett Roney, Zac Seufert, Rick Tang

There were three different prize categories which a hackathon team could win: “One Jack Henry”, “Operational Excellence”, and “Most Innovative”.

  • The team won the “Most Innovative” award.

The team won the “Most Innovative” award based on these three solutions presented:

  • Using OpenAI’s API (https://platform.openai.com) to train ChatGPT on JackHenry.Dev content and provide a concierge-like experience to help developers ask ChatGPT how to use the Digital Toolkit.
  • Using Pagefind (https://pagefind.app) to integrate the search boxes across JackHenry.Dev’s docs sites (Digital Toolkit, Enterprise Solutions, SymXchange) to provide a unified search experience across all of that developer content.
  • Creating a video production process (using free and/or standard software available to all Jack Henry employees) to create ‘snackable’ videos at scale via Microsoft Word 365’s text-to-speech audio capabilities and PowerPoint’s slides and video export capabilities.
