Working with Consultants
Key Points to Remember When Working with Consultants
Communication and Coordination:
- Always communicate with the consultant before discussing any new ideas or changes that could incur additional costs for the customer. This ensures that we are aligned and prevents any surprises for our mutual customers.
- Avoid upselling to our mutual customers. Our goal is to provide the best service and solutions without pushing for additional sales.
Customer Involvement:
- Consultants will often take the lead in testing and getting acclimated with the product. They will ask questions and ensure everything is functioning as expected.
- It is crucial that the actual customer is involved in this process. The customer needs to be hands-on with the product to understand its functionalities and how to support their own customers after the go-live phase.
Training and Support:
- Encourage the customer to participate actively in training sessions and testing phases. This will help them gain confidence in using the product and ensure they are well-prepared for any issues that may arise post-implementation.
- Provide continuous support and be available to answer any questions the customer or consultant may have during the project.
Building Relationships:
- Foster a collaborative relationship with both the consultant and the customer. This will create a positive working environment and lead to better outcomes for all parties involved.
- Show appreciation for the consultant’s expertise and the customer’s efforts in learning and adapting to the new product.
By following these guidelines, we can ensure a smooth and successful collaboration with consultants and provide the best possible experience for our customers.
